Chaoyang District Library was founded in 1958, its predecessor can be traced back to 1913 when the Beijing Normal University Academic Affairs Bureau set up the "Institute for persuading students" outside Chaoyang Gate. The new library is characterized by "informatization". The whole library realizes wireless network coverage, and is equipped with reader self-service system based on RFID intelligent technology to meet the reading needs in the digital era.
